The assessments for the Diploma in Teaching Evidence Based Exercise are as follows:

Ongoing Assessments:

These will be made throughout the course to ensure that all candidates gain knowledge, understanding and competence - pass or fail will not be an issue.

assessing a persons level of health and fitness

Final Assessments:

There are no final assessments for applicants wishing to attend for personal interest only and who do not require a formal qualification. 

Candidates requiring a formal qualification will be required to pass the following assessments:

At the end of Part 1:

bullet

preparation of a 1 hour seated exercise session for less active and able older

people or people with chronic illnesses or conditions which includes exercises to prevent falls and injuries

bullet

 teaching part of the prepared session

bullet

multiple choice and short answer question paper

At the end of Part 2:

bullet

preparation of a 1 hour exercise to music / circuit training session which is suitable for beginners to exercise, active older people, Phase lV Cardiac Rehabilitation / obesity

bullet

teaching part of the prepared session

Additional assessments where required for:

first aid at work

RSHP qualifications
